Vibration-protective mats
Vibration-protective mats are used in noise and vibration isolation systems of the track superstructure of rail transport (railway, tram and metro tracks), protection of buildings and structures, as well as vibration isolation of industrial equipment.
The mats operate due to the elastic and damping properties of the material: they partially absorb vibration energy and partially reflect it, preventing vibration from freely propagating through rigid structures (rails, foundations, floors). The key stiffness parameters are selected so as to effectively damp the frequencies characteristic of a specific case.
