Rubber-reinforced concrete decking, project A1.RB.PZhD.000 (hereinafter referred to as “the decking”), is designed for installation at railway crossings in straight and curved sections of railway track to ensure safe, convenient and rapid crossing of railway tracks by vehicles at the same level as the top of the rail head.
The decking consists of rubber-reinforced concrete slabs and elastic rubber sealing profiles that provide rigidity to the overall structure:
-
internal seals secure the slabs between the rails within the track gauge;
-
external seals ensure tight adhesion of the outer slabs to the rails.
The decking is installed on railway tracks with the following rail fastenings:
-
KB-65 on type Sh-1 reinforced concrete sleepers;
-
ARS-4 on type Sh-ARS reinforced concrete sleepers;
-
ZhBR-65 on type Sh3/Sh3-D reinforced concrete sleepers;
-
KD-65, DO-65, DO-50 on wooden sleepers.
The decking is used on public and non-public railway tracks for the passage of vehicles with an axle load of up to 13 t/axle.
The decking structure is modular and allows covering a railway crossing with a standard gauge of 1520 mm of the required width (slab multiples of 2925 mm and 3250 mm).
The range of deckings of project A1.RB.PZhD.000 also includes versions:
-
for 750 mm track gauge (slab multiples of 2800 mm);
-
for 1067 mm track gauge (slab multiples of 1950 mm);
-
for combined 1520/1067 mm track gauge (slab multiples of 1950 mm).
The modular structure provides the ability to:
-
cover a crossing of the required width, with the required width assembled using the appropriate number of slabs;
-
install on straight or curved sections of track (with R≥1200 m);
-
perform rapid installation (dismantling) of the decking during repair works and technical maintenance of the railway track;
-
reuse the decking slabs multiple times, including for temporary road crossings over railway tracks during construction works.
