Tram track covering

Tram track covering, consisting of rubber elements and a reinforced concrete or asphalt concrete base, is easy to install and requires no constant maintenance, gives the railway track in urban infrastructure an aesthetic appearance and provides protection from damage by passing road transport.

The set of components for the covering consists of elastic rubber seals, inner and outer slabs, and is designed to cover a section of railway track of the required width (slab multiples of 3250 mm, 3020 mm, 2140 mm, 1950 mm, 1300 mm) on reinforced concrete or wooden sleepers with R65 or RT-62 rails and any type of rail fastening.

The covering design provides the ability to:

  • install on straight or curved sections of tram track or metro track with R≥60 m;

  • extend the service life of the road surface at the junction with the decking;

  • perform rapid installation (dismantling) of the covering for technical maintenance works on the railway track when using reinforced concrete slab-based covering;

  • reuse the covering multiple times, including for temporary road crossings over railway tracks during construction works when using reinforced concrete slab-based covering;

  • reduce vibration and noise effects through the use of innovative materials
